In recent matches of Inter, one of the players who has received the most applause from coach Simone Inzaghi, as well as from the crowd, is Piotr Zielinski. The Polish midfielder has been achieving his best performance since his arrival at the Nerazzurri last summer.
The Corriere dello Sport features a detailed report on him this morning, praising all of his qualities which are continually impressing Inzaghi. In fact, on Tuesday night during the last match played and won by Inter in the Champions League against Leipzig, Zielinski was awarded the official UEFA recognition of MVP.
The former Napoli Polish player is now finally proving essential and continues to improve from the double hattrick from the spot against Juventus last October 27, two goals which have given him a boost as Inter’s number 7.
Zielinski has already occupied all the positions for Inter’s midfield: defensive, playmaker, inside, and even more advanced attacking positions. Inzaghi seems unwilling to rest the Polish player at this stage of the season and continually finds a way to place him in the field from the very first minute or even just during the game.
In Inter’s forthcoming matches, the coach may use him in all three positions of the midfield depending on the requirements linked to injuries and the rotation, which the technical staff of Inter sets up for every match.
Inter’s match schedule is now full, and there will be a need, of course, for the best Zielinski. All the Nerazzurri’s fans and Inzaghi are requesting more performances like the 93% pass accuracy he displayed against Leipzig in the Champions League.
