As we have been repeating for some time, the one related to Bisseck – fresh from his official renewal with Inter – is an operation that Oaktree will take as a model on the market for the future. The purchase of the German defender has proven to be one of the most successful in recent years: from being a semi-unknown in the Danish championship, within a year he has become one of the most sought-after young center-backs in Europe.

An investment of about 7 million euros made by Inter in the summer of 2023, from which a stunning capital gain could be generated in case of future sale. The Nerazzurri club, for example, has rejected offers in the last market that revolved around 30 million euros: offers above 40 will be required from now on to at least start a dialogue with Inter executives for Bisseck.

In this market analysis, however, we are not talking about sales, but rather about possible new acquisitions like Bisseck. Given Oaktree’s plan to rejuvenate the roster, in the future we will see more and more operations of this caliber. It is no secret, for example, that Simone Inzaghi would like to have in his team an outside player capable of taking on the man in the future.

Inter, in Serie A, is one of the last teams in terms of attempted and successful dribbling: a clear proof of how a player with certain characteristics is needed by the Nerazzurri coach. While waiting to recover the best condition of Tajon Buchanan, back from a long injury to the tibia, let’s discover some lesser-known profiles that could fall within the search parameters of the Nerazzurri club.

On the same principle as the Bisseck operation, from this list we have excluded players who are too well known like Dan Ndoye, or very expensive ones like Miguel Gutiérrez from Girona and Yan Couto from Borussia Dortmund. Although all three would fall within the technical parameters set, for the reasons listed they were not included. Let’s take a look at the four outside players selected in this special list.

First, we have Neco Williams, 2001 born property of Nottingham Forest. A very interesting Welsh winger who in recent times has not found much space among the starters of the English team. A player who can play both as a full-back and as a midfield wing, right-footed but also particularly skilled on the left.

For his technical characteristics, he is very similar to Andrea Cambiaso of Juventus. A player who, in addition to his offensive talents, is careful to defend in one-on-one situations, despite still being a bit messy tactically. He has a good shot, especially when he starts from the left: in this case, he tries more often to dribble to cut inside the field and create dangers.

Valued at 17 million euros by Transfermarkt, he can move for a lower figure next summer due to the contract expiring in June 2026.

Let’s move on to Tiago Santos, born in 2002. He has partly made himself known this season with a great performance played in the Champions League against Real Madrid. The Portuguese winger of Lille has great talent and is considered one of the main prospects in France along with Vanderson of Monaco.

He is a right-sided player with a very good technical skill on the ball, but who makes finishing in the final third of the field a strong point. Despite his seasonal numbers not being extraordinary, he has great potential. He is a player who aims a lot from the right, often looking for the combination in tight spaces with attackers and midfielders.

After suffering a partial tear of the cruciate ligament, he will be out for several months. His price tag is set by Transfermarkt at 15 million euros, who knows if after a long period out of the box his price will not drop.

Josha Vagnoman, property of Stuttgart, is another outside player that may end up on Inter’s radar. Among those listed in this list, he is the physically most similar player to Denzel Dumfries. Born in 2000, the German winger has already made his debut with the senior national team in March 2023 for a handful of minutes against Belgium.

A right-sided player, he is often also used on the left wing. A player who makes physical power a strong point, but unlike Inter’s Dutch outside player, he shows more confidence with the ball. In line with the characteristics sought by Inzaghi, in fact, he has a good predisposition to beat the opponent.

His price tag of 10 million euros rated by Transfermarkt is impressive. And beware of the expiry of the contract with Stuttgart set for June 2026 which could lower the price in a few months in case of no renewal.
