For several years now, Inter has been one of the most attentive clubs in Europe to possible investments in players with expiring contracts and, therefore, can be signed at no cost. The advent of Oaktree, however, has brought changes in the market strategies, with an increasingly marked interest in young profiles.
An opportunity that can embody both visions of the nerazzurri club is that of Nicolò Bertola, a central defender born in 2003 from Spezia, whose contract will expire in June. However, given the good relationship between the two clubs, Inter has decided to not acquire the player at zero cost, meeting the requests of the Ligurian club.
This is reported by Il Secolo XIX, which speaks of the agreement between the two clubs and a new appointment at the end of December between the two clubs to evolve the situation. In the meantime, a list of names that could interest Spezia has been considered, as counterparts: Fontanarosa, Di Maggio, Vanheusden, Kamate, Carboni, are some of the names.
