Mehdi Taremi will hardly forget soon the match he played today with Iran‘s jersey. The Inter‘s forward was a 360° protagonist in his national team’s victory against North Korea, in the Asian World Cup qualifiers.
The game ended 3-2, with Taremi being the victim of an unfortunate own goal and also missing a penalty kick in the second half. At the same time, however, the forward had already scored 3 assists, which effectively saved his match, at least partially.
An absurd performance, which on an individual level, however, is likely to leave him feeling unfulfilled. The question then is what implications this match will have on a psychological level.
