On the eve of the Champions League clash against Feyenoord, Thuram spoke to the microphones of Sky Sport, intervening shortly before the pre-match press conference ended.
Inevitably, the starting point is the defeat in the derby. The Nerazzurri striker explained how the group dealt with the moment: “We told each other things to our faces as you do in a family and in a team.” A team response, above all: “From the team, all united and for each other.”
Regarding his personal form, the player did not hide his satisfaction: “I feel great and I am very happy to be able to help the team in every match.” A positive moment in terms of scoring that he intends to put at the service of the group even on this away trip.
The atmosphere in Rotterdam is a factor not to be underestimated, as Thuram himself recalled: “A very hot atmosphere where they push their team really hard. When we came here last year, they had five shots in ten minutes, so it means it will be a match like that.” The tactical key, for the striker, lies in managing the opening moments: “We need to be united as a team and know that in the first moments of the match there may be risks and we have to try to avoid them.”
