Speaking to TMW Radio, former player Braglia analyzed the upcoming Serie A round, focusing on the teams most at risk among Milan, Juventus, and Napoli.
According to Braglia, Juventus faces the toughest challenge: “The Ferraris is a difficult pitch, Genoa with their newfound victory I think is tough, regardless of the balance that Juve has regained. It’s a match that can say a lot about Spalletti’s game. Genoa is a tough ground, I believe Juve has the most complicated match.” On Milan, the former player added: “Milan has found an identity they didn’t have before, the key match for the Rossoneri will be the derby, it will mean a lot for both teams’ seasons.”
Braglia then commented on the situation with the goalkeepers: “In my opinion, the goalkeeper’s role is in crisis. I’ve never seen so many mistakes since the start of the season. When the goalkeeper saves, the unsavable can’t be saved by anyone. Even Roma itself is having difficulties, with no disrespect to Gollini.”
The analysis then broadened to other names: “We’re seeing mistakes from Maignan, Vicario, goalkeepers who usually perform consistently but aren’t doing so now. We need to ask ourselves why. The goalkeeper has too much to do, whereas it used to be different. The more you involve the goalkeeper in a game that isn’t his, the more you expose him to problems.”
