The goalkeeper issue remains unresolved at Inter. While Josep Martinez has not convinced and tonight in the Champions League the choice will fall on Ivan Provedel, the Nerazzurri club is already looking to the medium term. According to Tuttosport, sporting director Baccin continues to monitor Filip Stankovic, a goalkeeper currently at Venezia.

The son of Dejan, who will turn 25 in February, will no longer be owned by Inter from the summer of 2025: Venezia redeemed him for just under 2 million despite relegation to Serie B. Previously, arriving as backup to Joronen, he earned the starting spot, finishing the season with 16 appearances and 23 goals conceded, compared to the 36 conceded by the Joronen-Radu duo in the remaining 22 matches. The season then ended early for him due to injury.

In the last Serie B campaign, the Serbian goalkeeper was among the best on the team, collecting 16 clean sheets. The start of the current season has not been without mistakes, but on Saturday against Napoli he was clearly the best on the pitch with phenomenal saves, including a penalty stopped from De Bruyne.

Inter does not have a buy-back option, but has retained 50% on any future resale: in case of purchase, they would effectively pay half the price. As reported by Tuttosport, the club is considering the possibility of bringing him back under their wing, possibly through a new loan, and then making a definitive decision in the summer of 2028, when he could return as a backup or, ideally, with greater ambitions.
