Less than 24 hours to the kick-off of Inter–Brugge, valid for the second matchday of the maxi-group of the Champions League. The match will be played tomorrow at 9 PM at San Siro, and according to Sky Sport, Chivu comes to the appointment with few doubts to resolve.
The players who were rested in the last match against Parma will return to the starting lineup: Akanji and Bastoni in defense, Barella and Zielinski in midfield. Lautaro and Thuram are confirmed in attack, with Dimarco on the left wing. In goal there will be Martinez, while Bisseck will play on the right-center of the three-man defense. The only open ballot concerns the right wing, where Diouf is ahead of Luis Henrique.
Sky Sport also provided an update on the English players in the squad. Spence will not start, but is expected to carve out some playing time during the match, proving to be a useful resource in the rotations during a month with many close fixtures. Stones is still out due to injury, although his return is expected soon. The situation is more uncertain for Jones, for whom a possible recovery is being considered ahead of the November 8 match against Como: if he doesn’t make it, the former Liverpool player will be available after the break.
The probable Inter lineup (3-5-2): Martinez; Bisseck, Akanji, Bastoni; Diouf, Barella, Calhanoglu, Zielinski, Dimarco; Lautaro, Thuram. Coach: Chivu.
