Chivu talks about the championship celebration, Barella drags him onto the stage

The documentary “Only Us. A Double-Winning Season,” produced by Inter Media House and released today on Sky Prima Fila, retraces the Nerazzurri season that ended with the conquest of the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia. A preview published on the club’s social channels reveals a behind-the-scenes moment from the title celebration, featuring the testimonies of Cristian Chivu and Nicolò Barella.

“On stage, Lauti and I called the coach, telling him that he also had to come up and lift the trophy,” reveals the midfielder. The Romanian coach explains his initial reluctance: “Barella came to get me and everyone was telling me I had to stand in front of the group for the photos. They pushed me, even though I didn’t want to. In fact, Bastoni pushed me a bit too much,” Chivu says with a smile.

“Then you go because you can’t do anything else. But I left quickly because that is the players’ moment and it should be that way,” concludes the coach, emphasizing how he wanted to leave the spotlight to the protagonists on the field of the triumphant Nerazzurri campaign.
