Tardelli tough on the incidents in Turin: clubs pay for a few troublemakers

The episodes that accompanied the minute of silence for Sandro Mazzola in Turin continue to spark debate. Marco Tardelli commented on the incident through the pages of La Stampa, expressing all his outrage at what happened.

“This is the last time I will speak about the disgusting spectacle broadcast live in Turin, where a group of troublemakers disguised as fans turned their backs on the legendary Sandrino Mazzola, one of the greatest players of all time. And they dared to use the names of extraordinary men, who moreover would have condemned such ignorance and stupidity,” declared the former midfielder.

Tardelli then highlighted the positive aspects: “What made me happy was the great applause from the Juventus fans who filled the stadium, as well as the immediate response from the club and Luciano Spalletti, who immediately made their distance clear.”

Finally, his criticism of sports justice: “One thing is certain, however: sports justice must make a great leap in quality because it is not acceptable that only the clubs always pay.”
