Dario Baccin appeared for the first time in a pre-match interview on Sky Sport. The sporting director spoke about the match against Udinese, contract renewals, and his new role at Inter.

“We have started several calm discussions that we will delve into in the coming weeks,” said the Nerazzurri executive regarding the renewals. “When we have more detailed news, we will share it. There is a mutual spirit of handling things calmly. We are happy with the players and they are happy to play for Inter. At the right time, we will provide new updates.”

About his new role, he explained: “I have had the experience of being able to study and work in different areas at the clubs where I have worked, from scouting to the youth sector up to the first teams. I have had several mentors, I have learned a lot from everyone but I will not lose my main characteristics. I will work with commitment and passion, continuing to do what I have done up to now.”

Regarding the match, he added: “To play a great game and get the three points, which is the main objective. To confirm the spirit seen in Madrid, playing with courage and quality. We hope the outcome will be different but the boys have prepared well and so I am convinced that we will play a great match.”

On the transfer market and the requests from the ownership, he concluded: “For me it is important to thank the ownership, then there is a constant monitoring job. Naming names is premature, the monitoring is daily and we are attentive on all fronts. We have had a solid core of Italians who have given us a very precise identity; we may continue like this. Then the ownership asked me to work calmly and to keep Inter at a high level.”
