Dario Baccin will continue to work on young profiles even in his new role as sporting director of Inter. This was explained by Gianluca Di Marzio on Sky Sport, outlining the guidelines that the executive will follow in the coming months.
According to the journalist, Baccin has always had a clear approach: identifying emerging talents, especially in South America. He was among the first to discover Retegui in Argentina, a player who, however, never arrived in Milan. This strategy, carried out with the support of Piero Ausilio, has proven successful over the years and will continue to characterize the club’s work.
Regarding the future of Ausilio, Di Marzio opened up to a different scenario. Ausilio could go to the Premier League, although negotiations with Tottenham are not as advanced as they seemed. Talks with the Spurs took place during the summer, but did not lead to concrete developments.
Another option that has emerged is Liverpool, which lost its sporting director, who went to Saudi Arabia with Simone Inzaghi. Experience in England remains a concrete possibility for Ausilio, according to the Sky journalist.
