Dario Baccin spoke to the microphones of DAZN before the kick-off of Inter–Udinese, a match valid for the fourth round of Serie A. The Nerazzurri sporting director touched on several topics, from his appointment to the ongoing contract renewals.
On the new position, Baccin explained: “The first days were not much different from those before the appointment. There is great satisfaction because after years within the club I can now measure myself directly, it is a great satisfaction.”
The executive then addressed the issue related to the contract extensions of Dimarco and Calhanoglu: “We have a very strong squad and players with whom we are having discussions in a calm manner. New meetings are scheduled in the coming weeks. We have very clear ideas and the players want to continue with us. We will have news in the coming weeks, but there is no rush.”
Finally, Baccin outlined the club’s strategy: “I have been at Inter for more than 10 years, we have played an important role and we need to give continuity, trying to keep this team at the highest possible level, knowing that we must respect certain economic and financial parameters. But we are used to it and we will try to do our best.”
