Bastoni before Cagliari-Inter: strengthened everywhere except in attack

Alessandro Bastoni spoke to the microphones of Dazn before the kick-off of Cagliari–Inter, a match valid for the second round of Serie A at the Unipol Domus. The Nerazzurri defender commented on Chivu‘s return to the bench and the strengthening of the squad.

“Chivu is always the same person with the same attitude, just like last year. It was nice to meet again after last year but the hunger is always the same,” said Bastoni. The center-back then emphasized his bond with the club: “This is my eighth year at Inter, I have nothing to prove to anyone except to do what I know how to do, give everything for these colors, for the club for everything they have done and what it means to me. The strong point of this team is putting the ‘we’ before the ‘I’ and we will do it again this year.”

On the topic of the transfer market and defensive reinforcements, Bastoni broadened his reflection: “Besides the defense, we have strengthened in all areas except the attack, which was already very strong. For me, it is always nice to compare ourselves with other players from other leagues who bring us experience, they will give us a great hand this year.”
