The preparation of Djed Spence is proceeding with caution. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the winger who arrived from Tottenham still needs time before being available for Inter. After playing a starring role with England at the American World Cup, the player practically switched off his engine and now has to start specific training from scratch.

For a winger required to cover the entire flank, the energy expenditure is enormous, as are the risks. For this reason, Chivu does not intend to speed up his integration. Spence will not be available for the away match against Cagliari and will probably not be called up for the match against Napoli scheduled in a week at San Siro either.

The former Spurs player will continue with targeted individual work. The actual timing of his integration will depend on the feedback from the next training sessions. The three Englishmen are therefore on three different clocks: while Jones is ready to make his debut and Stones can increase his pace, Spence still has to build his foundation.

The final destination, however, remains the same: to progressively add a British soul to an Inter that Chivu wants to be more intense, vertical, and aggressive.
