The negotiations between Inter and Cristian Romero have entered a crucial phase. The Nerazzurri club has chosen the Argentine defender as its main target and is focusing all the management’s efforts on this operation.
According to Quotidiano Sportivo, the meeting in Milan between Ciro Palermo, the player’s agent, and sporting director Piero Ausilio led to a significant rapprochement between the parties. The discussion mainly addressed the financial aspects of the deal: currently, Romero earns 12 million euros gross per season until 2029.
The timing for finalizing the deal could be very short. There is a sense that the negotiations could be concluded as early as next week. At the latest, the operation should be closed when the Nerazzurri team leaves for the Asian tour.
