Inter is actively working to bring Cristian Romero back to the Nerazzurri. According to Fabrizio Romano, the club has received positive signals from both the defender and Tottenham, and now work is proceeding on two parallel fronts to close a deal with a high cost.
The pursuit is genuine, despite the denials that have circulated in recent days. “Inter has already spoken with Tottenham, which has shown openness regarding an agreement between the clubs,” explained the transfer market expert. The main issue remains the financial aspect related to the player’s salary: “As for the player’s salary, Inter must make a decision regarding their wage bill.”
The Nerazzurri are therefore evaluating how to make Romero’s salary sustainable, trying to find a balance between the ambition to strengthen the defense and budget constraints.
