Lautaro reveals: “Goals? I also do this extra work off the pitch”

Following Inter‘s 2-0 victory over Lazio in the 11th round of Serie A, the Nerazzurri striker Lautaro Martinez spoke at the press conference to comment on the match. Here are his answers to the questions from journalists present in the conference room at San Siro.

MEANING – “Today was an important match for us, for the standings, for our journey and our path. We dropped points where we could have done better, there are things to improve and I am happy with the work being done with the coach and his ideas. I am happy because these three points are very valuable.”

WEIGHT OF THE GOAL – “For me, the goal has enormous value, when the team wins it is definitely better because it doesn’t matter who scores. I talk a lot with professionals and a psychologist. I do a lot of work off the pitch as well, which helps me a lot.”

OPPONENT – “We prepared well for this match. The important thing was to unlock it immediately, we managed the game correctly and calmly.”

NUMBERS – “The statistics about me move me because I didn’t expect these numbers. Hard work always pays off. My father passed on to me the love for football and for hard work. I am a ‘trabajador’ and I work for these people and to thank them for their affection.”
