Yesterday brought very bad news for Inter following the medical tests undergone by Piotr Zielinski. The Polish midfielder, injured during the league match against Monza, suffered a strain of the medial gastrocnemius muscle in his right leg.
It is a very serious injury, something already evident from the painful reactions of the former Napoli player, who immediately felt intense discomfort in his calf. Regarding the recovery timeline for Zielinski, early reports of a long absence have indeed been confirmed.
According to what was reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zielinski will be out until May. It thus seems unlikely that the midfielder could recover by late April. Consequently, he will miss any eventual Champions League quarter-finals, the Coppa Italia semifinals against Milan, and around 5 or 6 Serie A matches.
