The Inter’s Spring has always been a breeding ground for great talents. This season, which has seen the arrival of Andrea Zanchetta on the bench, the Nerazzurri’s youth team is discovering a new promise, still very young, but already capable of showing a high-level potential. Simone Inzaghi has also noticed him and included him in the squad for the Champions League game against Monaco, where he made his debut in the final quarter of an hour at San Siro.
This is Giacomo De Pieri, a left footed attacking midfielder who is already enchanting with his play and who has already scored both in the Youth League and in the league. De Pieri Inter
Class of 2006, Giacomo De Pieri was born on December 29 in the province of Treviso, in Lughignano, a fraction of Casale sul Sile. He took his first steps in soccer at Liventina, a company affiliated with Inter, immediately showing off out-of-scale talent.
So, at just 13 years old, the Nerazzurri’s scouts called him to Milan to join the Nerazzurri club. Since the 2021/2022 season, therefore, he has been part of Inter’s youth and this season he has been added to the Spring team, as a minor, immediately finding space and important numbers.
De Pieri skills and characteristics
A left footed attacking midfielder with flair and imagination, he has been compared by Tutto Mercato Web to Odegaard as the type of player. With the Norwegian from Arsenal he shares, with the necessary distinctions, the elegant technique, the propensity to dribble and the ability to get involved in the live action in decisive zones.
Not to be underestimated, however, is also a great propensity to score. In the Spring he scored in the Youth League and in the league, but in past years he has always scored abundantly in double figures. A modern 10, therefore, capable of making a difference in the last meters of the field, both as a playmaker and as a striker.
De Pieri’s Career
18 years old, De Pieri’s career is still in its early days, but in his two seasons with Inter’s youth teams he has already scored 16 and 14 goals respectively. In Primavera 1 this year he has so far made 19 appearances, with 5 goals and 5 assists, while in the Youth League he has scored 2 goals and 3 assists in 5 games.
At the Italian Nationallevel, he has been called up to all the youth teams, almost always as a minor, and has already made his debut with the Under 20. De Pieri, therefore, seems to be on the right track for a great career and all that remains is to closely follow his growth.
