One of the **transfers** that **Inter** completed in the **winter** **transfer window** involves Tajon **Buchanan**, a midfield winger who also due to injuries was unable to make his mark or **play** with the necessary **consistency** to convince coach Simone **Inzaghi** to seriously rely on him.
In **January**, the Canadian moved on **loan** with an **option to buy** to **Villarreal**, and initially, he made a good impression, convincing coach **Marcelino** to often start him in the **starting lineup**, but after a few weeks he was **slowed down** by an **ankle sprain** and has now fallen a bit behind in the **pecking order**.
According to what was reported by Turkish journalist *Ekrem Konur* and later picked up by *Mundo Deportivo*, **there is no possibility** that **Villarreal** will decide to exercise the **€13 million option to buy** to acquire **Buchanan**’s registration rights. The Canadian winger will very likely therefore return to **Inter**, who will then decide, together with the player, how to **proceed**.
