With yesterday’s goal, Marcus Thuram climbed to the top of the Serie A scorer’s rankings with his 12th personal score, which was truly an extraordinary gem. However, this goal came at the end of a less than perfect performance by Inter’s number 9.
The day after the victory against Como, Italian sports newspapers are praising the Frenchman’s beautiful goal, but they also point out that neither he nor other players from Inzaghi gave an unforgettable performance last night against the newly promoted team. Here are the ratings for Thuram.
LA GAZZETTA DELLO SPORT 7 – Underperforming, even confused in some control. It would be below average, until the 2-0 brick which is a New Year’s boom, more than Christmas.
CORRIERE DELLO SPORT 7.5 – His game is full of things so devastating, between accelerations and various moves, that it could only be crowned by the beautiful goal in the final.
TUTTOSPORT 7.5 – In the second half he unleashes: his shot, Dossena closes and Inter finds the goal with Carlos, personal action in recovery and golazo.
