One of the main issues concerning the future of Inter pertains to the restructuring of the Nerazzurri midfield. A department that in recent seasons has been a real strength of Simone Inzaghi‘s team, considered among the most complete and best in the world. Inevitably, however, a young alternative will also have to be built so as not to be caught unprepared when needed.
The slight downturn of Calhanoglu caused by the long injury last January, the declining performance of Mkhitaryan, the need to have a vice Barella with similar characteristics to the Sardinian midfielder: these are all aspects that the Nerazzurri management is facing to plan a market attentive to the needs of the team.
A first coup has already been accomplished and concerns the class of 2003, Petar Sucic. Considered in Croatia as the new heir of Brozovic, the midfielder will have to be tested from next June to understand whether he will be used as a playmaker or midfielder. While waiting to understand what decisions will be made at the end of the season with Frattesi and Asllani, Inter is also monitoring other young profiles.
The impression is that another perspective coup may be taken by the Nerazzurri club. In particular, there are two players identified as possible successors of Mkhitaryan. The first is Nico Paz, perfect for characteristics to take up the tasks performed by the Armenian in the Inzaghi midfield. The second is Samuele Ricci, a more useful player in front of the defense.
In both cases, Inter will have to deal with fierce competition. For Nico Paz , the next moves of Como will have to be monitored: the Lombard club would like to cancel the repurchase of 12 million euros in the hands of Real Madrid, by paying the Spaniards a new check of 15/20 million. On the Torino midfielder, on the other hand, Milan continues its insistent pressing.
