Signs of life were finally seen from Lautaro Martinez during the derby played on Sunday night against Milan. Despite the Argentine striker not being at the top of his physical condition, he finally showed progress in the derby compared to what he did in the early days of the championship.

As admitted by the captain of Inter himself, the new season did not start off well for him, partly due to the very little time he had in the preseason to match his teammates in terms of physical condition. However, a form that is constantly improving, offering hope to Simone Inzaghi for upcoming challenges.

Defending the Argentine, on the latest episode of Locker Room Chronicles, was journalist Riccardo Trevisani, who is often critical of Lautaro: “I am nitpicking everyone, including Lautaro. He’s playing a game that tells us he will have scored 10 goals by December. I saw again a player who couldn’t find the goal, without confidence, without teammates helping him. But I saw a much better version of Lautaro compared to the disasters in the early days. He was a ghost before. Very positive for the future this time, with a good assist and good plays. I saw Thuram very poorly.”
