In recent days, transfer market rumors concerning Inter have suddenly heated up. Besides the possibility of having a considerable budget available, the first specific names potentially joining the Nerazzurri next season have begun circulating with increasing insistence.
Above all, the most mentioned name by Italian sports newspapers is Santiago Castro, the Bologna striker considered as the natural heir to Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine forward, born in 2004, already carries a significant market valuation, estimated at about 40 million euros. However, Inter reportedly have a couple of cards to play to reduce his price.
The first card involves Giovanni Fabbian and the 12 million euro buy-back option, valid until next summer. Inter could leverage this to their advantage within the Castro deal. The second card involves Asllani, an Inter midfielder highly appreciated by Vincenzo Italiano. These two midfielders could be included in the negotiations, potentially resulting in significant savings for the Nerazzurri.
Additionally, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Castro has already agreed to join Inter. The Nerazzurri are clearly his preferred destination, partly due to the successful history of Argentinian strikers in Milan and partly because of his friendship with idol Lautaro Martinez.
