The international break represents a valuable opportunity for John Stones. The Inter defender suffered a muscle strain in the flexors of his left thigh during the match against Udinese, in a clash with Davis. Tests confirmed the problem, and now the player will use the league break to work on a full recovery.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Chivu hopes to have the Englishman available for the away match against Parma, scheduled for October 10. On the same occasion, Hakan Calhanoglu, who is dealing with an adductor injury in his right thigh, could also return.
The management of Stones will require particular attention. In recent seasons, the former Manchester City defender has had to deal with several absences due to muscle problems. The Nerazzurri club, as reported by the newspaper, knowingly took a risk during the summer, but trusts in the player’s qualities, considering him a fundamental resource for defensive rotations throughout the season.
