Stankovic towards a loan in January, Inter considering the sale

The January transfer window is still far away, but Inter is already planning its moves. According to Corriere dello Sport, one of the options on the table is a possible loan of Aleksandar Stankovic, who so far has found very little space in the first team.

The young midfielder, son of Dejan, did everything he could in the summer to stay in Milan, but has found little playing time. The Nerazzurri management will not make a final decision before January: they will wait for the transfer window to reopen to assess the situation. A temporary exit is not ruled out, especially to allow the former Bruges player to play regularly in the last six months of the season, should his opportunities remain as limited as they have been so far.

The club has made a significant investment in the Serbian goalkeeper, exercising the buy-back clause for 23 million euros. It should be remembered that in the summer, Inter, in agreement with the player’s wishes, rejected a 40 million offer from Brentford so as not to immediately block his path with the Nerazzurri. Evaluations about his future will be made later, with the club taking all the time necessary before making a decision.
