This evening, one of the matches valid for the quarter-finals of the Primavera Italian Cup took place. It was not an ordinary match because, at the KONAMI Youth Development Centre, an Inter-Milan game was played, which, however, did not go well for the young Nerazzurri of Andrea Zanchetta.
After a draw of 2-2 in the regular 90 minutes, Milan won in the penalty shootout. The errors from the penalty spot by Lavelli and Pinotti proved decisive against the Inter Bovo and Berenbruch scored instead, while all four Milan’s shooters scored.
During the course of 90 minutes, the Inter had also managed to be in the lead 2-1 – after being down 0-1 – thanks to the goals scored by Mosconi and Berenbruch. However, Milan was able to equalize at 68′ and win by penalties, reaching the semi-finals of the Italian Cup where they will face Lecce.
