Slovan Bratislava will be the last opponent for Inter in the Champions League group stage. One of the Slovak team’s forwards, the Slovenian Sporar, spoke about the upcoming clash with the Nerazzurri to Gianlucadimarzio.com, following their 4-0 defeat against LASK Linz.

The striker’s first thought went to Handanovic, described as a legendary figure both in Slovenia and throughout Europe. From there, the conversation broadened to the significance of the challenge: “Facing Inter means a lot, of course: every experience is welcome. We have played against Paris Saint-Germain and Roma, now it will be Inter’s turn, Champions of Italy and practically a Champions League finalist and semifinalist every year. It will probably be very tough, but we will give our best.”

Slovan’s schedule in the group stage includes, in addition to the match with the Nerazzurri, games against Betis, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Lille. Sporar does not hide: “They are all teams that regularly participate in the Champions League, so it will be very difficult.” Yet his tone is not resigned: “We have nothing to lose, we can only gain something from these matches. We will clearly be the underdogs, but we must do everything to earn points against Shakhtar at home.”
