Giuseppe Sala, Mayor of Milan, has spoken again about the San Siro question. Interviewed during the event of Il Giornale “La Grande Milano”, the first citizen talked about the cancellation of the Champions League final and the plan of Inter and Milan to build a new stadium.

“The Champions League final? For me, it is not news. I fought to convince the teams to renovate the San Siro. Before the holidays I thought it was feasible, then after the teams were leaning towards a new stadium. I try to follow them in this discussion, but we must reach a conclusion. The lease contract expires on June 30, 2030 and the teams have to be sure to have a stadium by that date.-If they intend to proceed on that road. The new ownership of Inter is solid, I believe it’s possible to go in this direction”.
