Many Inter fans in these last weeks of the transfer market have been asking for reinforcements in defense, after the various additions in midfield and attack with the arrivals of Bonny, Diouf, Sucic, Luis Henrique and the return of Pio Esposito. The fear of the Nerazzurri supporters is that the defensive department is, both numerically and in terms of average age, not quite ready for the long season.
The Nerazzurri management tried in the summer for Leoni and De Winter but in the end they went elsewhere, while now the latest name to emerge was Oumar Solet from Udinese. According to Fabrizio Romano, however, the negotiation between Inter and the Friulian club is currently at a standstill, as he explains with these words from his YouTube channel.
“There has been a lot of talk about Solet and several teams. After considering the idea of a loan and receiving a refusal from Udinese, now Inter has stopped. Inter was thinking of a loan deal and so for now everything is blocked. I am even told that if Solet were to stay, the Friulian club would also be considering a renewal.”
