The story involving Icardi and a possible return to Inter resurfaces periodically, but according to Romano the situation is clearer than it seems. The journalist addressed the topic on his YouTube channel, debunking the frequently recurring rumors.
“There is no doubt that he wants to return to Inter,” Romano stated. “That he wants to come back to Italy in general: I can confirm that in January he would have gladly gone to Juve. He wants to return to Italy, he is very attached to Inter, but the possibility cannot be considered concrete for one reason. Inter’s technical decision is not to proceed with him.”
According to the journalist, the striker has offered himself on several occasions, even showing willingness on the financial front. Despite his efforts, the response from the Nerazzurri club has remained unchanged: since the summer, every month, Inter’s position has not changed. The attacking department, with four strikers available, is already considered covered by the club.
Romano concluded with a clear assessment: it is “more of a social media suggestion than reality.” Icardi’s name continues to fuel discussions on social media, but at the moment there is no evidence of any concrete negotiations with the club.
