As announced yesterday by Inter, Kristjan Asllani’s contract has officially been extended for a season. The Albanian midfielder, previously linked to the Nerazzurri until June 2027, has thus moved the expiration by one year to 2028.
A decision that has caused quite a stir among the Nerazzurri fans because of the timing. The announcement, in fact, came a few hours after the not so brilliant performance of the former Empoli player against Monza, in his first starting appearance in this championship. A game that has deeply divided Inter supporters, between those who judged negatively his match, and others who instead liked the 2002 born player.
Returning to the agreement just signed with Inter, as reported in today’s edition of the Corriere dello Sport, a salary increase was also recognized. A show of trust from the Nerazzurri club that wanted to recognize Asllani as a player to rely on for the present and future.
