“The most important thing is having secured the victory. It wasn’t easy, given that Inter is a very well-organized team and Real was missing players in midfield,” said Raul. The third highest scorer in Madrid’s history highlighted the difficulties faced by his former team against the Nerazzurri.
“Real’s goals came when the opponents tried to build up play from the back; they also had clear chances and Inter’s goal created a bit of uncertainty at the end. However, it’s a good result to start the season,” concluded the Spanish legend, acknowledging the danger shown by the Milanese side during the match.
