Franco Piantanida commented on Davide Frattesi‘s journey at Inter and the impact the midfielder is having at Lazio. The former Nerazzurri player has already scored three goals in three appearances with the Biancoceleste shirt.

Speaking to TMW Radio, Piantanida emphasized how the experience gained at Inter contributed to the player’s growth: “Frattesi still played in a Champions final and won two league titles. He played little at Inter, but a footballer can also forge himself by sitting on the bench in an important team.”

The former midfielder then spoke about Lazio’s top position in the standings: “Lazio right now is a ten. They came in with an insufficient transfer market, little enthusiasm, and after a defeat in the Coppa Italia against Mantova. The beauty of football, however, is that now the sun is shining on Lazio.”

According to Piantanida, the Biancocelesti can aim for a prominent placement: “I think they can have a good season, even to challenge up to fifth place. This is because not only have the Biancocelesti won three matches, but also because for Milan, Juventus and the others it will be difficult to threaten Inter, Napoli, Roma and Como. In the group from fifth place down, anything can happen.”
