Giorgio Perinetti expressed his opinion on the change in the sporting direction of Inter. Speaking to the microphones of TMW, the former executive who previously worked with Dario Baccin commented on the appointment of the new head of the Nerazzurri technical area.

“It seems like an act of courage by Marotta and Inter, but it is a well-considered choice,” said Perinetti. “Baccin has had the opportunity to grow and provides the right reassurances. I am pleased to have been the first to trust him, but it was clear he had qualities already in the youth sector, where he was able to have autonomy and independence.”

The former executive then revealed that he had received a phone call from the new sporting director: “He called me and thanked me for our past experiences. And for the good luck wishes I gave him. He has the qualities to overcome all difficulties. He has the qualities for Inter.”

Regarding the separation between Piero Ausilio and the Nerazzurri club after 28 years, Perinetti added: “It’s something new for all of football because Ausilio was a reference point for the entire football movement. Many coups, many intuitions. But evidently he needed new motivation, I wish him the best of luck for the future.”
