Speaking to Sportmediaset, Federico Pastorello gave an update on the situation of several of his clients, starting with Simone Inzaghi, currently on the bench of Al Hilal. “A year of experience has been very useful for him, at the end of the season the final assessment will be made. There is no closure one way or the other, then it depends on the will of his club. Four or five clubs, including some from Italy, have called him but there has been no follow-up because his desire is absolutely to stay.”
On the players’ front, the agent spoke about Francesco Acerbi, former Nerazzurri defender who is waiting for a new placement. “He is very eager to return, obviously we have to find the right solution because a player like him cannot return to a context that is not up to his skill and his name. The focus is Serie A.”
Pastorello then addressed the issue related to Lorenzo Palmisani, goalkeeper of Frosinone who has recently been linked to both Inter and Juventus. “Juve already made an approach this summer, but like many others, also from the Premier League. The Bianconeri club had a phase in which they could decide whether to take him as number two behind Vicario. It would have absolutely been an opportunity. But when you have such a young and talented boy in your hands, he needs to play. Juve is a great team and is among the pool of opportunities, we will see if they confirm their interest.”
The agent finally spoke about Alex Meret, goalkeeper whose contract with Napoli is expiring and who has been linked to Inter in terms of the transfer market. “We will certainly be open to listening to opportunities. But if I had to bet, Alex is so attached to the environment that I would not rule out that he could stay, if Napoli wants him to.”
