Inter has officially communicated to the UEFA the new list of 23 players who can participate in the knockout stages of the Champions League. There are no major changes in the Nerazzurri camp, with only one change in the squad available to Simone Inzaghi.
Before we report the list announced by Inter, let’s remember the presentation criteria that forced the Nerazzurri club to cut two big names:
- At least 8 players on the list must be players trained in Italy therefore belonging to the national youth team and of these eight, at least 4 must be players trained at the club.
- Contrary to the rules for Serie A, U22 players don’t count unless they have been part of the club for two consecutive years from their 15th year onwards, and therefore go on the B list unlimited;
To these basic criteria, a clarification should be added: Alessandro Bastoni, contrary to the rules established for the Italian championship, is not considered by UEFA as an Inter Academy product, having grown up mainly at Atalanta as an U22. It will only be possible to modify the list presented today from next January, including up to a maximum of three new players for the final stages of the competition.

The only novelty compared to the start of the season list is the replacement of Buchanan with Zalewski, who takes the place of the Canadian. Correa is still out. Here is the complete squad:
