José Mourinho and Mauro Icardi have recently been involved in a heated clash on social media. The Portuguese coach initiated it with a contentious post after the recent victory of Galatasaray against Gaziantep by 1-0. This is because, as shown by the image posted by the coach of Fenerbahce, a hand touch by Davinson Sanchez inside the penalty area was not sanctioned.
For some time, Mourinho has been fighting his battle in Turkey, stating that Galatasaray is favored by the referees. Avoiding being too direct, the former Inter coach chose irony to present the irregular touch of the defender: At the World Cup of handball concluded last Sunday, my Portugal reached the semi-finals brilliantly and I would like to congratulate them on this result and for the impact they will have on the youth of our country.
In response to these accusations, Galatasaray’s striker Mauro Icardi, currently out due to a long injury, immediately retorted with a story to the Portuguese’s words by posting a photomontage of a book titled ‘The Crying One’, replaced by ‘The Special One’, with a tear emoji to highlight the coach’s ‘crying’.
