The Champions League has kicked off, with a promising debut for Inter at Manchester City’s ground. The Etihad game was the first game for the Nerazzurri under the new format, which not only revolutionizes the regulations, but also provides greater income for the participating clubs. And the first revenues are already arriving.

In fact, as reported by Calcio e Finanza, UEFA will make the first payments for the competition today. The clubs will receive the entire participation fee and 75% of what is predicted by the new “value” segment, which replaces the market pool and the historical ranking.

In Inter’s coffers, then, just over 41 million euros are ready to enter, divided between participation fee (17.87 million) and “value” (23.54 million). This is the highest figure among those of the Italian clubs.
