After a standout performance in the Atalanta-Inter match, which included scoring the final goal to close the game at 2-0, Lautaro Martinez spoke to the microphones of DAZN in the post-match interview of the 29th matchday of Serie A. The Nerazzurri captain commented on the team’s performance and touched on the ambitious goal of achieving the treble, making clear the club’s aspirations.
Atalanta-Inter, Lautaro Martinez’s comments
PERFORMANCE – We prepared the match in the best possible way. We regained our energy because we knew Atalanta makes you work a lot—they play man-to-man across the whole pitch, we know that. Today we needed a lot of energy and we did an excellent team job. It was a deserved victory. I think we dominated Atalanta throughout the 90 minutes, with our ball control and quality play. We could have scored more goals, but in the end, we take home these three points, which are extremely important for our position in the standings.
TREBLE – If we believe in the treble? It seems like we don’t want to say it explicitly, but yes we do! Certainly, we’re a strong team, and playing every three days sometimes can be tough. But the team is competitive on all fronts. It will be difficult, but we want to fight for everything. This has been our mentality for years, and we want to keep going down this path.
