Today kicks off an important week for Inter, as the club not only prepares for Sunday’s match against Udinese, but coach Simone Inzaghi also looks to speed up the recovery of several key players. Among them, particular attention is focused on Lautaro Martinez and Denzel Dumfries, both currently undergoing therapies for recent injuries.

As noted by today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the two Inter players will undergo medical tests today. The Argentinian striker will be evaluated for the extent of discomfort felt in his hamstring, while the Dutchman will undergo checks for the issue sustained in his right thigh during the final moments of the victory over Atalanta in Bergamo.

Both players will surely miss Inter’s upcoming Serie A match against Udinese, but their recovery times will vary. While Lautaro could potentially return for the squad in the Coppa Italia derby clash, Milan-Inter, the coaching staff’s main aim for Dumfries will be to have him fully fit for the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Bayern Munich on April 8.
