Just a few minutes before the start of the Italy derby between Juventus and Inter, the nerazzurro president Beppe Marotta spoke to DAZN to comment on the match for the 25th round of the Serie A championship.
Here are his words:
TITLE – This game is beautiful regardless of the score. If there will be a good performance we hope it can be crowned with a victory, but the first thing that matters is the performance. We are still in a talking phase and often we say that the direct clashes are crucial for the assignment of the Scudetto, but then we see that there may be false steps against lower-ranking teams. So we also need to be careful about these pitfalls. Today the performance is important. The team is charged, we know that the Italy derby has a special flavor and we are ready to face it in the right way.
PAST – I spent 8 beautiful years at Juve, with many successes. A beautiful experience that served me in Milan to make an impact with my ideas. Today I am very happy to be at Inter, where important results and victories have arrived. All experiences serve to make you grow and make you wiser. This wisdom I carry with me from all my past experiences. The entire past generates experience, which leads to wisdom.
TENSION – Alleviate the tension? We have to be aware that in big clubs the pressures increase, in Italy there is no culture of defeat but of envy. We know we are reigning champions and everyone wants to beat us. We have to adapt, Inzaghi knows it and does it in the best way. Then the adrenaline at the sideline is greater, but it is about having awareness of being key players in all competitions.
