Francesco Pio Esposito is one of the jewels of Inter’s youth academy on whom the management seems to be placing the greatest trust. This is confirmed by the unofficially announced contract renewal revealed by the 2005-born player’s agent in recent days, raising hopes for a long future with the Nerazzurri shirt.
This was also confirmed by journalist Giorgio Musso to Passione Inter microphones, who, referring to the renewal, mentioned its duration: We will see if it runs until 2029, with an option, or directly until 2030. In any case, it is a deal that reinforces the club’s confidence in a player considered by Appiano Gentile staff as, to quote Musso, the strongest Italian player born in 2005.
Regarding his future, the journalist specified his likely path for next season: For Esposito, an ad-hoc growth path is planned. Next year he will play in Serie A—we will see if that’s at Spezia, in case they achieve promotion. Inter intends to loan him to a mid-table Serie A team and then integrate him into the first team two years from now, already prepared for a leading role.
An exit from Inter has been definitively ruled out, with the club reportedly already rejecting significant offers in January: Several important offers have arrived in recent months. Napoli in particular tried in January, offering €10 million plus bonuses, but their offer was turned down. Offers from prominent Premier League clubs have also been rejected. At this moment, he is valued at around €20 million, but Inter is prepared to refuse any proposals as they strongly believe in him.
