With the Romero operation completed, Inter will have to focus on the right winger, a position still vacant in the Nerazzurri squad. The Palestra and Khalaili options have become complicated and now an alternative hypothesis is emerging within the club: the return of Ivan Perisic.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Inter management has put the search for a winger on hold, not only to prioritize the arrival of a defender. The reality is that, at the moment, no profile fully satisfies the Nerazzurri club’s requirements. The right fit is needed both technically and economically, but the names considered so far do not guarantee this.
Even the candidacy of Spence, long considered, has lost ground. The Englishman from Tottenham has physicality, pace, and intensity, qualities appreciated by the management. However, he lacks the ability to take on and beat his man, a characteristic present in Palestra and Khalaili. The £40 million request made by the London club has led the Nerazzurri directors, in agreement with Chivu, to cool the negotiations. A new push is not ruled out, but not in the short term.
