Inter-Napoli, Lobotka's touch divides: no penalty for the Nerazzurri

Gazzetta dello Sport analyzed the refereeing episodes of Inter–Napoli. The most discussed case concerns the missed penalty for the Nerazzurri for an alleged handball by Lobotka in the second half.

According to the rosea’s slow-motion review, at the start of the match a contact between Bisseck and Vergara was not whistled. In the 15th minute, Esposito went down in the box held by Rrahmani, but again no penalty was given because the Nerazzurri striker was also holding the defender.

The main episode came in the 3rd minute of the second half in the duel between Barella and Lobotka: at normal speed, the Azzurri midfielder seems to touch the ball with his right arm, causing a change in trajectory. However, the VAR was not certain of the touch from the available images and did not call Sozza to the monitor due to lack of decisive evidence.

In the 70th minute, Lautaro risked a second yellow card for a retaliation against Marin. In the 66th minute, Alisson on Zielinski: ball only and no penalty to be awarded.
