In recent years, there have been numerous transfer dealings between Inter and Lazio, and several free-agent moves have also taken place between the two clubs, with players swapping the Nerazzurri jersey for the Biancocelesti’s, and vice versa. According to the latest transfer rumors, Simone Inzaghi is currently eyeing his former team for a potential transfer target.
As reported today by Il Messaggero, the name of Nuno Tavares has emerged as a possible target on Inter’s list. He is a Portuguese left-sided wing-back who joined Lazio from Arsenal last summer. During the first half of the season, Tavares impressed everyone with remarkable performances and numerous assists, dominating the left flank with his strength.
In the second half of the season, however, he experienced some injury issues. Despite these physical setbacks, according to the Roman newspaper, Inter’s interest has not diminished. Lazio have set their asking price for the player’s transfer at approximately 40 million euros, with 40% of this amount due to be passed on to Arsenal.
