As repeatedly emphasized, the coach is well aware that he might finish the season without lifting any trophies at all—a situation that has never happened since he took charge of the Nerazzurri. However, not giving his best or deliberately prioritizing one competition over another would probably have been a defeat from the start.
The dedication of Inzaghi and his staff is not going unnoticed by the club. As we previously reported in recent weeks, Inter is already preparing a draft for the renewal of his contract. This was confirmed this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, reinforcing our earlier statements regarding the ongoing discussions between the Piacenza-born coach and the Nerazzurri’s management.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the official signing of the renewal is expected at the end of the current season. The contract extension is mutually desired: Inzaghi himself has no intention of leaving Milan, and Inter is eager to secure him amid numerous interests shown, especially from English clubs. His current deal, which expires in June 2026, is anticipated to be extended until 2028.
