One of the names likely to dominate the Serie A transfer market next summer is Santiago Castro. The young Argentine forward continues to display excellent performances with Bologna, leading his team both in the championship and in the Coppa Italia.

As reported today by Corriere dello Sport, the dream of the striker, born in 2004, is to soon be called up by Argentina to play alongside Lionel Messi in the national team. Italy coach Luciano Spalletti had previously explored the possibility of Castro wearing the Azzurri jersey, but the player ultimately chose Argentina.

Moreover, for the Bologna talent, it will be a summer filled with transfer speculation. Inter are leading the pack, but several other clubs will also aim to sign him. According to the Roman newspaper, Castro himself seems to be increasingly convinced to remain for at least another year with Bologna to further grow, especially if the club qualifies for Europe.
