During this weekend pause for club championship activity, with Serie A and the other top European leagues on break for the national team fixtures, space was available for other types of matches. In Munich, Germany, a tournament called DAZN Infinity League took place, blending football and entertainment, in which Inter Milan also participated.
The Nerazzurri club was one of four invited teams, alongside Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and, naturally, the host club Bayern Munich. These matches were played 5 vs 5 under special rules, featuring both male and female athletes of various categories: club legends for Inter, for instance, Zanetti, Cambiasso, and Regina Baresi, young talents, as well as online content creators.
The first two matches didn’t go well for the Nerazzurri, who lost both against Bayern Munich 9-3 and Borussia Dortmund 5-3. However, in the third and final match, they achieved an exciting victory against Juventus with a convincing 10-6 win, drawing cheers from the Inter fans present at this entertaining, social media-oriented Bavarian event.
